Flight Disruptions caused by Volcanic Ash Cloud (April 15-22)
Geneva and Zurich airport returned to normal operation on April 22. Cancellations by operators as a consequence of airspace closures and/or restrictions will be treated by EUACA coordinators in accordance with Article 10(4)(a) of Regulation 95/93 and will therefore not be counted for the 80/20 calculation at the end of the season.

Slot Coordination Switzerland (SCS) is an independent non-profit organisation responsible by federal decree for seasonal airport slot planning and allocation, slot monitoring and schedule data collection in Switzerland. Presently SCS provides these services for the airports of Geneva and Zurich.

Principles
The coordination process between airlines and airport coordinators is described in the Worldwide Scheduling Guidelines (WSG) by IATA which contains a set of procedures and time frames to provide guidance for the management of the allocation of scarce resources at busy airports...
With 1000 delegates, from some 300 airlines and representatives of over 200 schedules-facilitated or coordinated airports, this bi-annual "working conference" is IATA's largest event. The goal of the conference is for airlines and airports to obtain the slots that will give them the best possible schedule to offer their customers.
The 127th Schedules Conference for the 2011 IATA Summer Scheduling Season, 27 March through 29 October 2011, will be held in Melbourne, Australia at the Melbourne Convention Centre (MCEC) from November 11–14, 2010.
Online Coordination System (OCS) provides registered aviation customers with an Internet based 24 hour service to request slots or make changes to their existing slot portfolio by editing records of their schedules directly in the database. A comprehensive range of tools allows customers additionally to query, sort, view and download slot and schedule information in a wide variety of formats. Real time slot availability of more then 40 airports is available also for non-registered users.
