Declared Airport Capacity

Capacity Declaration
Airport capacities will be regularly reviewed by the respective Airport Capacity Boards whose members (airport managing body, ATC, airline representatives and Slot Coordination Switzerland) will discuss possible capacity adjustments based on airport operations experience, airport infrastructure changes, environmental restrictions and future demands of airlines. The final airport capacity will be declared by the responsible airport management body latest before the historic precedence deadline for each upcoming season (April for Winter season, September for Summer season).

Below find the declared capacities for the current and upcoming season:

Geneva

The airport opening hours for slot allocation are 0600-2355 local time for arrivals and for departures 0600-2155 local time.

Runway Capacities:

per 10 minutes max. 07 movements (max. 06 arrivals / 07 departures)
per 60 minutes max. 36 movements (max. 22 arrivals / 36 departures)
additionally 4 hourly movements are reserved exclusively for GA/BA flights

Terminal Capacity (passenger flow):

per 60 min. max. 3000 arriving and 3000 departing passengers
